Case of the twins: PSD reinforces request for documents from the Brazilian insurance company that will have saved millions

The Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into the case of the twins treated with Zolgensma continues to wait for a response from AMIL – International Medical Assistance and will reinforce the request for documentation, particularly with the mother and children.

At issue is the health insurance policy that children had in Brazil. As TVI reported two weeks ago, AMIL – Assistencia Médica Internacional will have allowed this company to save millions of euros, since the costs of treating the twins with Spinraza (the alternative medicine to Zolgensma that involves taking every four months for the rest of your life) should cost around 600 thousand euros in the first year of use and exceed 300 thousand in the following years.
