“Missile was launched by Russia”: UN calls for investigation into attack on Kiev pediatric hospital

The United Nations considers that there is a “strong probability” that the children’s hospital in Kiev was hit by a “direct shot” from a Russian missile and calls for an investigation.

The representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Ukraine, Danielle Bell, said today in Geneva that a more in-depth investigation with analysis of video images is needed.

Danielle Bell said the hospital was hit by a KH101 cruise missile “launched by the Russian Federation”.

On Monday, Russian attacks on several Ukrainian cities left at least 37 dead and 150 injured, including at a pediatric hospital in Kiev.

A few hours after the attack, Moscow forces denied firing at the Kiev hospital, accusing Ukraine of being responsible for the bombing.
