Porto Airport already receives 15 million passengers, wants to receive more, and will have works on the runway

The country’s second largest airport, Sá Carneiro, in Porto, has been growing in recent years. In 2023 it received 15.2 million passengers and the expectation is that it will exceed 15.6 million in 2024. Reinforcement works on the runway will begin this year, an investment that was already planned and which will be detailed this Monday, at an event attended by the president of ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal, Thierry Ligonnière, and the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Miguel Pinto Luz.
