Russia shoots down five Ukrainian drones over its territory

On Wednesday night, Russia shot down five Ukrainian drones over its territory, one of them on the outskirts of Moscow, the Russian Ministry of Defense declared this Thursday in a statement published on the social network Telegram.

The military note stated that the unmanned aerial devices, all fixed-wing, were destroyed in the regions of Bryansk (2), Moscow (1), Tambov (1) and Tula (1).

“According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or damage at the site of the fall of the fragments (from the ‘drone’)”, declared the mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin.

The drone, Sobyanin added, was shot down by anti-aircraft defenses in the Stupinski district, in the Moscow region, located about 40 kilometers south of the Russian capital.

Ukrainian forces attack Russian territory almost daily with aerial ‘drones’ in response to Russian army bombings on Ukrainian territory.
