CERN proposes $17 billion particle smasher that will be three times larger than the Massive Hadron Collider

Researchers on the international’s greatest particle accelerator have put ahead proposals to create a pristine, even higher atom smasher.

The $17 billion Day Round Collider (FCC) can be 57 miles (91 kilometers) lengthy,  dwarfing its predecessor, the 16.5-mile-long (27 kilometers) Large Hadron Collider (LHC), positioned on the Eu Group for Nuclear Analysis (CERN) akin Geneva.
