Calais Campbell hints at retirement after 2022 season

Baltimore Ravens defensive finish Calais Campbell has performed 14 years within the NFL since being chosen within the second spherical of the 2008 draft by the Arizona Cardinals.
On Friday, showing on NFL Community, the six-time Professional Bowler hinted that the 2022 season may be his final.
“I do know I obtained this 12 months in me. I do not know if there’s something left after that,” Campbell stated. “However I will depart all of it on the sphere and empty the tank. I am getting ready like that is my final 12 months. I will give it the whole lot I’ve.”
In April, Campbell agreed to a two-year, $12.5M contract with the Ravens.
The 35-year-old performed 15 video games for the Ravens final season, posting 49 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
The Ravens acquired Campbell in a commerce with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020 in alternate for a fifth-round draft selection.
Over two seasons in Baltimore, Campbell has registered 77 tackles and 5.5 sacks, making the Professional Bowl in 2020.
In 213 profession NFL video games for the Cardinals, Jaguars, and Ravens, Campbell has 773 tackles, 93.5 sacks, 12 pressured fumbles, and three interceptions.
