All of this came from further back, from a car accident that he caused in 2020 and from which he fled on foot. The fact is that Davis was sentenced to 90 days of house arrest at the home of his coach, Calvin Ford, after pleading guilty on four charges stemming from the aforementioned incident, in which he injured four people, including a pregnant woman. Instead of going to Ford’s house to serve his sentence, Davis moved to a luxury hotel and then to a new housewithout permission from the Maryland Prosecutor’s office, because he said there was not enough space in his coach’s house.

Now he gets back into the ring after his victory against Ryan García in 2023. “I’ve been locked up a long time, so I want a great performance.
