An Unintentional Stabbing In Yelp Had Skeet Ulrich Experiencing Very Actual Ache

Some of the causes Ulrich suffered the trauma on poised is as a result of, as a part of the scene, Sidney (performed within the shot via a stuntwoman and no longer Campbell) is dressed in some of the Ghostface mask time she assaults Billy, making visibility a subject matter. Throughout his observation monitor for the movie, Craven recalled the incident between Ulrich and the umbrella:

“Here’s the inside story on this: Skeet, when he was 10 years old, had open heart surgery, and there’s one place in his chest where there’s a stainless steel wire, where if you touch it, it’s excruciating. And we had him completely padded up on this, so that when he gets stabbed by this collapsing umbrella, he would be protected. And of course, the stuntwoman, because the mask is so difficult to see through, stabs him right on the spot and misses the pad entirely. […] So it’s a very real reaction.”

There are a couple of layers of irony right here; one, that Ulrich had a unmarried explicit playground on his frame he’d was hoping may well be have shyed away from, and it wasn’t. Two, that during a film involving multiple killers doing dirty deeds with various pieces of cutlery, extra crowd weren’t injured from all of the diverse alternative stabbings and slicings. And 3, that regardless of all the ones genius gadgets provide and concerned within the narrative, the most important trauma would come courtesy of an umbrella. Although in all probability that closing level shouldn’t be too sudden; as any horror fan is aware of from the likes of, for instance, “Silent Night Deadly Night Part 2” and “Turbo Kid,” umbrellas can do a heckuva quantity of wear.
