AD proposes Paes Antunes for president of the Economic and Social Council
Former Secretary of State Luís Paes Antunes is, as far as Expresso knows, the name proposed by the AD to preside over the Economic and Social Council (CES), succeeding the socialist Francisco Assis, who left the position to be a candidate for the s legislative elections in March for the Porto district. The new president must, however, be elected by two-thirds of the deputies in a secret ballot, meaning an agreement between PS and PSD is necessary to guarantee the election.
