China, from a poorly disguised nuisance, has openly transformed into an economic rival. And the proscribed protectionism was renamed “strategic autonomy†, being presented with pride and more (some) money. In this new order under construction, what can we expect from the European plan for reindustrialization and what role is reserved for small open economies like the Portuguese one?
