Madeira deputies vote three times to elect parliament president
Before sitting at the table of president of the Legislative Assembly of Madeira, José Manuel Rodrigues had to endure three votes and it was necessary to go around the text of the rules so as not to postpone the election for 48 hours. And not even Miguel Albuquerque’s promise to lower the reduced VAT rate from 5% to 4% in the next regional budget managed to overshadow the confusing morning in the hemicycle, in which not even the votes of the deputies who support the PSD/CDS parliamentary agreement were guaranteed.
