The Minister of Internal Administration returns this Tuesday to meet with the PSP unions and GNR associations because of the attribution of a supplement, after having already presented three proposals that displeased the police.
This is the fourth negotiating meeting between Margarida Blasco and the six unions of the Public Security Police and the five associations of the National Republican Guard.
In the last round of negotiations, the Minister of Internal Administration proposed changing the supplement for service and risk in the security forces that already exists in the fixed aspect from 100 to 280 euros, a increase of 180 euros, and maintain the variable component of 20% of the base salary.
The PSP unions and GNR associations left this meeting unhappy with the proposal presented by Margarida Blasco, because they considered “the value to be very low”.
In response, the platform of PSP unions and GNR associations presented a counterproposal to the Government, proposing that the supplement that covers the risk increase by 300 euros this year and another 300 in 2025, rising from the current 100 to 700 euros.
The platform advocates that the 600 euros increase be paid in phases between this year and 2025.
Currently, the supplement for service and risk in the security forces includes a fixed component of 100 euros and a variable component of 20% of the base salary.
Since negotiations began in April, the Government has presented three proposals for supplements for police officers.
