Mixing cocaine with alcohol is increasingly common and increases the risk of overdoses
One of the most worrying trends exposed in the new report by the European Monitoring Center for Drugs and Drug Addiction is that of polysubstance consumption, i.e. the consumption of two or more psychoactive substances simultaneously or in sequence.
“Whether it is the use of benzodiazepines with opiates or cocaine with alcohol, this pattern of drug use can increase health risks and complicate intervention. are, for example, response to overdoses”, the document reads.
