The painter Paula Rego, who passed away in June 2022, left a net worth valued at 42.45 million pounds – more than 49.9 million euros at current exchange rates. According to the Portuguese artist’s will, signed in 2017, her three children – Caroline, Victoria and Nicholas Willing – are the only heirs of this heritage. The heir qualification procedure was completed and registered last year. “In the beginning, art [de Paula Rego] was not taken seriously, leaving the family in penury and despair. But the true extent of her triumph over adversity is now revealed by the amount of her inheritance,” wrote Richard Eden, the Daily Mail social columnist who revealed the contents of the will firsthand.
