Sebastião Bugalho glued to “painless” Montenegro to hold 29%
Cith the Government taking the reins of the second week of the campaign (see page 10), Sebastião Bugalho, who one day wrote in Expresso that Luís Montenegro was a “painless candidate†for prime minister, who avoided “cases†and “annoyances†, he presented himself “to the Portuguese†as the friendly candidate, available and close, praising, trying to win over voters, non-voters, and the very parties for which compete. With one foot more in than out, he never fails to use his independent status to please everyone. There are signs that he is succeeding in some of this work.
