The civilized right is finally regaining ground
In Portugal, the last few weeks have been positive for the civilized and moderate right, the one that bases its actions on humanist, democratic criteria, respect for others and institutions. About three months ago, the scenario seemed darker. The AD had won the elections in a tangential way, after a campaign that was not very galvanizing, with pragmatism disguising a lack of enthusiasm and, apparently, conviction. The conditions under which Luís Montenegro formed the government raised reticence, which made me think, myself included, that it would drag on fragilely until the vote on the next State budget.
