The Pixies have two new songs, the first with the new bassist: listen to them here

The Pixies released two new songs, the first with their new bassist, Emma Richardson, who replaced Paz Lenchantin, who was in the band for ten years.

‘You’re So Impatient’ and ‘Que Sera Sera,’ a reinterpretation of Doris Day’s 1950 classic, are the Pixies’ first songs since 2022, the year in who released their latest studio album, “Doggerel†.

In a press release, Black Francis described ‘You’re So Impatient’ as “a slightly comedic suburban cultural moment†. “There is a boy, there is a girl, there is a loving dynamic. But, in the background, there is a rude shopping center,†he continued.

These two songs will be the subject of a vinyl edition, which will be released on July 19th. Listen to them here:
