Athletics: Mario Mola makes the definitive leap into athletics after signing for Crnicas Serrano

Mario Mola, triple triathlon world champion, joins the sports project of the Crónicas Serran Athletics Clubor for the next season and focus their goals on athletics in events such as the ten kilometers, the half marathon and the cross country.

The Mallorcan athlete, who in recent years had already been combining triathlon with some athletics events, especially cross country, take the final leap with its incorporation to Crónicas Serrano, one of the reference clubs at the national level that is always in the first places in the Spanish Road and Cross Country Team Championships.

“Among my 2024 goals are the Spanish road and cross championships where I hope to help Serrano fight for the team titles. Furthermore, I would like to debut in a half marathon and seek the minimum of the RFEA for the European Half Marathon in Rome,” declared Mola, after announcing his incorporation into the Valencian club.

Mario Mola will share a team with athletes of the stature of the international Juan Antonio ‘Chiki’ Pérez and Roberto Aliz, as well as María José Pérez and Miguel Baidal, both renewed after achieving the Olympic minimum in marathon, in the case of the man from La Mancha, and the bronze medal in 5,000 meters in the European under-23 of Alicante
