Céline Dion reveals that she broke her ribs due to illness: “It feels like someone is strangling me”
Céline Dion stated that Stiff Person Syndrome, a disease she was diagnosed with in 2022, caused her to have such strong spasms that she fractured her ribs.
In what was her first interview since the diagnosis was made public, with “NBC News†, the singer sought to explain the seriousness of the disease. “At one point I had broken ribs. It feels like someone is strangling me, pushing on my larynx,†she said.
âMas [esses espasmos] They also happen in the abdomen, in the spine, in the ribs,” he continued, adding that, sometimes, his hands become so stiff that “they cannot be opened”.
The illness forced Céline Dion to step away from the stage, but a possible return continues to be in her plans. In March, the singer highlighted her desire to want “live as normal a life as possibleâ€.
