Cotrim intensifies appeal to vote: “Let us not miss the goals that are now possible with just one vote”
“Wet camp, blessed result?”, asked a liberal while holding a t-shirt with the phrase ‘Cotrim, yes’ to protect the head during Arraial Liberal, in Lisbon. Heavy rain and thunder caused the party to end early in Jardim Dom LuÃs. Still, there was time for speeches by João Cotrim de Figueiredo and Rui Rocha, who reinforced the calls to vote on the penultimate day of the campaign.
The leader of the Liberal Initiative (IL) list largely repeated the speech he made the day before, at a dinner-rally in Afurada, in Vila Nova de Gaia, with barbs aimed at his main opponents: “Let us not miss any of the goals that are now possible with just one vote“, he asked, reiterating his criticism of the CH, which only “screams†and will not be able to solve the problems in Europe.
