Actress Reese Witherspoon revealed her birth name, surprising fans.
In conversation with Nicole Kidman for “Vanity Fair†, Witherspoon said that she calls her co-star in “Big Little Lies†, Laura Dern, “Dern†so as not to get confused with her own name.
“My name is Laura, her name is Laura. That confuses me,†she said. “My real name is Laura Jeanne†.
“Reese” is one of her nicknames, inherited from her mother, which she decided to use as her first name when she began her acting career in the 90s.
The revelation, after more than thirty years of career, provoked surprised reactions from fans.
