Massive Attack’s first concert in five years: Elizabeth Fraser joined to sing ‘Song to the Siren’. See the video
Massive Attack gave their first concert in five years this Wednesday, in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The British band had some old acquaintances on stage: Horace Andy, the Young Fathers and Elizabeth Fraser, from the Cocteau Twins, accompanied Massive Attack at the start of their new tour.
Fraser’s presence is not unprecedented (hers are the vocals on ‘Teadrop’, one of the Bristol band’s biggest hits) but the song that Massive Attack added to the The lineup is new: ‘Song to the Siren’, a song by Tim Buckley that the Scotswoman immortalized in “It’ll End in Tears’, the first album from the This Mortal Coil project, released adopted in 1984.
Massive Attack perform at Meo Kalorama, in Lisbon, on August 29th.
