Rise of the far right in the European Parliament sends European stock markets plunging into the red

The rise of far-right forces in the future European Parliament after this Sunday’s elections plunged most European stock markets into the red on Monday. The MSCI global index for the European Union closed on Monday losing 0.97%. But the main victim was the Paris stock exchange, where the global index fell 1.5% and the CAC 40 (of the forty main French listed companies) lost 1.35%. This last index registered on Monday the fourth worst session of the year.
