India begins Modi 3.0 phase: with a desire to assert itself in the world, but without compromising on divisive issues

The recent elections in India revealed that Narendra Modi continues to be the man most Indians trust to guide the country’s destinies. At 73 years old, he equaled the feat of the historic independence leader Jawaharlal Nehru and gained the people’s trust to exercise a third consecutive term as prime minister.

If he continues his mandate to the end, Modi will become the third longest-serving Indian at the head of the Government, only surpassed by Nehru (16 years and 286 consecutive days) and his daughter Indira Gandhi (15 years and 350 days, in two periods).
